Annihilation

I had been taking care of small fish.
私は小さな魚を飼っていました。
The day before yesterday, I noticed that some of them didn't swim and just floated.
一昨日、私はそれらのうち何匹かが泳がす、ただ浮いていることに気づきました。
I had been feeding them regularly, so I thought that the cause of their death was not hunger.
私は定期的にエサをあげていたので、餓死にした訳ではないと思います。
Because there were a lot of fish in the small water tank, a deficiency of oxygen in the water might have caused their death.
小さな水槽に多くの魚がいたので、酸欠で死んだのかもしれません。
Therefore, I put a stone which can provide oxygen into their water tank.
そこで、私は空気を出す石を水槽にいれました。
The next morning, I checked the water tank.
翌朝、私は水槽を確認しました。
Only one fish was swimming and the fish died that afternoon.
一匹だけ泳いでいましたが、午後になって死にました。
It means that fish I had been taking care of were annihilated.
つまり、私が飼っていた魚は全滅しました。
I don't know what the problem was.
私は何が問題だったのか分かりません。
Some serious illness or other might have spread.
何か重病でも蔓延したのかもしれません。
I'm very sad.
とても悲しいです。
