I requested a day off on my daughter's birthday.
私は娘の誕生日に休みをもらえるようにお願いしました。
But my boss said that I may not be able to have a holiday on that day because it is a just request.
しかし、私の上司は、単なる希望なので、その日には休みをあげられないかもしれないと言いました。
She doesn't have any sons and daughters.
彼女には、息子も娘もいません。
I think that's why she didn't hesitate to say such a terrible thing.
だから、そんな酷いことを平気で言えるのだと思います。
I worked for 13 hours on my own birthday.
私は自分の誕生日に13時間働きました。
I can't understand why she is that spiteful.
なぜ彼女がそんなに意地悪なのか理解できません。
